Welcome to our FAQ page. Here you will find answers to common questions our our holiday lighting service. 

1. How does your Christmas light service work?

The team at Ridgleline Holiday Lighting handles everything from start to finish. We create a custom design for your home based on your style and preferences, install the holiday display at a time that is convenient for you, maintain the lights throughout the season, and carefully remove the lights after the holidays.

We operate on a lease model — meaning you don’t purchase the lights. We provide high-quality, commercial-grade lighting, custom-cut to fit your home perfectly. The lights, installation, maintenance, and take-down are all included in one price.

2. What’s included in the price?
   •    Custom-cut lights designed specifically for your home or business

   •    Free maintenance through December 25th

3. Do I own the lights?

No — Ridgeline retains ownership of all lights and materials. This helps ensure that we can provide a consistent high quality experience for our customers. We maintain all of our product and replace an malfunctioning items to ensure your holiday displays look great all season.

4. What kind of lights do you use?

We use high-quality commercial-grade LED lights, which are energy-efficient, bright, and custom-fit to your roofline or landscape. We also offer a wide variety of colors to bring your dreams to reality.

5. When do you start installations?

Installations typically begin in early October and continue through mid-December. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.

6. When are the lights removed?

We start takedowns on the first week of January and weather permitting have everything removed by the end of the month. 

​

7. How are lights attached to my house?

We install all of our lights using the most advanced clip systems on the market. Our shingle clips slide under the shingles instead of clamping on to them. This allows us to hang lights on your peaks without causing any damage to the shingles. On gutters we use a non abrasive plastic clip that secures lights to the front of gutters without any damage to your home. All of our clips stay attached to the lights during removal ensuring non get left behind after we leave.

8. What happens if a light goes out after installation?

No problem! We offer free 24 hour maintenance guarantee until December 25th. If you notice any issues with your lights, just contact us and we’ll schedule a service visit as soon as possible. We guarantee our work and product.

9. Do you decorate trees, bushes, or landscape features?

Yes! In addition to rooflines, we offer tree wrapping, bush lighting, pathway lights, and more. Let us know during your quote if you’d like to include these elements to enhance your holiday display.

10. Do I need to be home for installation or takedown?

Nope! As long as we have access to the areas we’re decorating and a working exterior outlet, you don’t need to be present.

11. How do I get a quote?

Just contact us through our website or give us a call! We offer free estimates and can often quote based on photos of your home.

12. Is there a discount if I use you every year?

Yes — returning customers receive priority scheduling and early installation discounts. It’s our way of saying thank you for choosing Ridgeline year after year.

13. Are you insured?

Absolutely. We carry full liability insurance to protect you and our team during installation and takedown.
